Book Recommendations!

Hi! I'm going to be recommending a few books in this blog post! I've shortlisted some books that I would love for you to read. So without further ado, let the recommendations begin!

1. Harry Potter Series

Of course I'll put the Harry Potter series first, my absolute favourite set of books as I might've mentioned before. Every single time I read this it takes me into a completely different world. This action - packed,  adventurous, and suspense series of books will keep you hooked. If you like fantasy and suspenseful books, I'm sure you'll like it.

I've already posted a review of the first book of this series, if you haven't read it already click here and you can click here if you want to buy the whole book set or you can only buy the first book by clicking the link I gave in the book review :)

For lovers of Percy Jackson and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them.

2. Little Women

This will always be one of my most favourite book as I just love the iconic four sisters as they face new challenges and the author takes us with them. This is a heartwarming book about love and friendship, and I will never stop recommending it 😁.

I've posted a book review on this book too :) so if you haven't read it already you can click here. And click on the link I've provided in the book review to buy it.

For lovers of The Secret Garden and Malgudi Adventures.

3. The Trumpet of the Swan

This is a light - hearted story about the adventures of a Trumpeter swan who unfortunately can't speak. His father helps him by getting a trumpet for him so he can speak to everyone through it, but Louis later comes to know that his dad stole the trumpet from a shop, and feeling bad about this Louis goes on a series of adventures to get back the money for the trumpet. This is a really sweet story that I couldn't stop reading, and I feel like this book would actually have a good impact maybe? On children of a younger age.

For lovers of Roald Dahl and Frances Burnett.

4. The one and Only Ivan

This is a really cute book about a gorilla named Ivan who works in a mall's circus sharing a special bond with the new elephant named Ruby, I absolutely loved the sweet happy ever after ending of it and will keep this book close to my heart. The pages of the book were really short and I could read one every minute, and this is also the reason I finished it the day I got it.

There is also a movie on this book, but I would recommend reading it first ; Because I always choose books rather than movies, but you do you :)

For lovers of Charlotte's Web and The Jungle Book.

5. The one and Only Bob

This is the sequel to the bestselling novel The one and Only Ivan. I really liked this one too. But I did not actually expect Katherine (The author) to make a sequel to it as the ending of the first book really satisfied me and I assume other readers. It's all about how Bob; Ivan's friend who's a dog, is happily living with the circus's caretaker George, but realises that he misses being a stray dog and his long lost sister, then a storm comes over their town and gives an opportunity for Bob to find his sister, and the adventure starts. Honestly I didn't even know that the first book had a sequel, but then discovered that it did, and got it. This is also really sweet and I love all the new characters and situations written, and I also like how the first - person narrative (Using pronouns like I) was very relatable and casual.

Also for lovers of Charlotte's Web and The Jungle Book.

Unfortunately for all the movie lovers out there, there's actually no movie made for the sequel.

6. The Curious Case of the Sweet and Spicy Sweetshop

I extremely loved this book. It's a sweet and spicy (See what I did there? 😄) suspense book that makes you want to read it more and more. I adore the plot and the characters and how there's someone questioning their own niece / nephew's identity and I just love it (Wait, didn't I already say that?). The writer Nandini Nair did a really good job writing it.

For lovers of Malgudi Adventures and Ruskin Bond.

7. Different

I don't know why but this isn't really popular but I really want it to be. This is an amazing *Chef's kiss* book about new girl challenges in school, teenagehood, and I just love it. It's a perfect mix of Sci - Fi and drama as it shows that Nicole Grace is from another planet and is rescued by a lady who cares for her like a mother. Nicole had been homeschooled for a while but then her aunt (The lady who rescued her) decides its time for school. I absolutely loved the way the teenage author Neeha Gupta described everything and accurately potrayed the mind of a new girl on her first days of school, and I also liked that instead of hiding her identity Nicole actually reached out to one person who really wanted to learn about lives on another planet. the writer also potrayed how slowly Nicole got out of her comfort zone like a turtle out of it's shell. I loved and related to it and will always recommend this book to everyone.
